Summary:
Once up a time, there were two family who were very close friend to each other. As they were living and communicating together happily and they made a promise that if one or another delivers a baby of the same sex, they will let those children be close friend like them. And if different sex (one boy and one girl), they will let them marry each other for sure. This was a wish of old people. For 20 years no one talked about this they just raised their children and sent them to study abroad. That year after they graudated, they returned home. Then parrents of both family talked their mature children that they will have to marry someone they had promise 20 years ago. Both gentle man and beautiful girl did not like that idea. It seems very old for them. They do not want at all. However, they can't reject as culture of Thai people is so strict. So children follow their parents arrangement.
Storyline:
Kate is a beautiful daughter in the family. She is in trouble. Everybody in the family are so worried about her. They have a discussion and came up with an idea to hire tutor for her. But in fact, they did not the root cause why Kate are not happy.
The family rather believes that tutor will help recover the situation and pursuade Kate get married on time. Because married is a big thing and such an important from promise their old generation, they can't miss it. Also because they are afraid if the other family (boy's family) gets angry and sue the case to the court. The whole family is forcing Kate to get married.
Kate one day escape to live with her friend's house in the province. But she can't hide it. Her family found out that she was in the province. Then they sent people with care to take her back. Altough she resisted to come back, she finally come back.
Kate has tried many options to run away from this arrangement married. She pretended to be a bad girl, going out all nights, drinking beer, and talking to guys on the streets but nobody cares. They only know that she is just pretending to it. That's not her real character.
Kate, as the only daughter of Madam Dov, was reaffirmed by her father at the hospital that she has to get married to Mr. Va Thin. However, she was fearful of getting married since very bad experience happened to her relatives. Kate and the family, actually, did not want her to marry, too. But because of the promise they can't reject it. The only they can do to postpone the wedding is by sending their daughter to study abroad.
Accidently, these two families got the same idea. They sent their both children to study abroad. For seven years, they were in abroad studying Master and PhD in England. They returned home the same time, too.
However, Va Thin's family is financial trouble. They almost lost their house but the whole family did not know at all. The entire family only think they have many things, money, big house, cars etc. They wanted to buy new car for their returning Va Thin from the UK. Va Thin's father had to secretly borrow money from Kate's family to buy car for Va Thin.
Kate and Va Thin did not like each other. They wanted to play with each other again and again. Soon Mr. Va Thin soon realized that his family has nothing, except the blank villa. Va Thin respect his grandfather and grandmother all the time. His grandmother is so serious about selecting wife for Va Thin. But Va Thin has no freedom to choose girl for marry anymore.
Financial trouble was uncovered and the whole family of Va Thin knew that they do not have enough money to spend anymore. They need Kate's family to support otherwise they will even sell their house and live on the street.
Finally, Va Thin and Kate got married and move to live in Va Thin's house. Grandmother, on the other hand, did not like Kate at all and neither do Kate. Kate tries to do many things to upset Grandmother everyday. After all, they accept that Kate's family is good and the two families agree to rappraochment and normalize the family relationship. Va Thin and Kate lives in happiness forever.
